Sedro-Woolley Farmers Market T he Sedro-Woolley Farmers Market is celebrating our 20th year in operation! We are open from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. every Wednesday from May 20 through October 14, 2020 in Hammer Heritage Square, downtown Sedro-Woolley. Purchase farm fresh eggs, hand-crafted jewelry, garden-cut fl wers, kettle corn, local produce and many other offerings. The market also features live music, cooking demonstrations using Farmers Market produce, children’s programs and gardening advice.

The Sedro-Woolley Farmers Market is a proud member of the Skagit Valley Farmers Market Coalition, which is made up of Skagit County Farmers Markets to pool resources for shared marketing and outreach. Accepting cash, checks, debit cards and food stamps, the Sedro-Woolley Farmers Market is accessible to all. As a result of special grants obtained by the Market, food stamps may be doubled onsite upon visiting the Market booth. Located at 8243 Sims Road, Sedro-Woolley, Eagle Haven Winery began making wines in 2003. The winery produces traditional varietal wines Siegerrebe, Madeleine Angevine, Rosé, Syrah, Sangiovese and Pinot Noir and fruit wines – blackberry, plum, apple, pear. The vineyard is surrounded by an adjoining salmon-bearing stream and a cider producing 40-acre apple orchard. The winery features a tasting room, a wine garden and a wooden pavilion where it hosts live music, private events and a summer concert series on Friday and Saturday evenings. With growing conditions similar to France’s Loire Valley and the Northern Rhine Valley of Germany, Skagit County is home to an increasing number of wineries. White wine grapes such as madeleine angevine and siegerrebe are known to grow well in Skagit’s mild climate, while pinot noir grapes are being grown in increasing numbers at local vineyards. The Skagit Valley grows 100 acres of wine grapes valued at more than $1 million, according to data from Washington State University.
