History buffs will find what they need about the local area at the Anacortes Museum and the Maritime Heritage Center. The museum, located at 1305 Eighth Street, is open daily except Mondays and is free to visit. The former Carnegie Library generally has a rotating exhibit as well as permanent displays of Anacortes history. The museum also runs the Maritime Heritage Center and W.T.
