SKINNER

Gregory Rubin Reynolds Gregory is remembered for his sharp wit, intellect, and the adventuresome taste which fueled his lifelong passion for collecting. He loved New England country furniture, folk art, and jewelry, whether it was diamonds or Bakelite! His taste was impeccable and his style eclectic. His contemporary home in Peacham, Vermont, was a showcase for each carefully selected piece. He demonstrated that antiques can be strikingly beautiful contrasted in a modern environment. Gregory’s legacy is his generosity to friends and to the Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital. NVRH will receive the proceeds from the auction of his collection, and the sale of his home.

REAL ESTATE

www.LMSRE.com

The Reynolds Estate in Peacham, Vermont With impressive gardens and a classic Bosquet designed by Landscape architect Dan Kiley, this 240-acre property is a rarity for several reasons. The land includes the highest point in Peacham, Vermont and offers 360-degree views of both the Green Mountains and the White Mountains. Fruit trees, stone walls and a large pond grace the property. There are barns and a guest or caretaker’s house. The main Cape-style home was built in the 1790s; it offers period charm and detail with modern amenities. In 2007, a Contemporary addition added a sense of elegance and style. There are 4 bedrooms, 4 full baths and 2 half baths. Formal rooms include the living room and dining room. A very large kitchen serves as one gathering place; a tavern room has probably heard some tall tales. A library is reserved for quiet moments. This is an exceptional opportunity to enjoy a spectacular property in a very special Vermont place. $1,725,000. Photos Courtesy of: Skinner, Inc. & L.B. Symmes Photography
