Kokcidin
®
against coccidiosis
PURPOSE
KOKCIDIN® is suitable for all species and groups of poultry. It may be used at any time during production, requires no withdrawal period.
COMPOSITION
Feed materials (in 1 kg of product): Propylene glycol (13.11.1), Glycerine (13.8.2)
KOKCIDIN® is a unique, carefully selected composition of natural plant extracts for the prevention of coccidiosis. KOKCIDIN® also has bacteriostatic and immunostimulant properties. The composition of the product was developed and tested by a team of experts on feeding poultry. KOKCIDIN® is the answer to the problem of growing resistance of protozoa to coccidiostats and consumer’s expectations in terms of the quality of poultry meat and eggs.
Feed additives (in 1 kg of product): Sensory additives: flavouring substances: dry extract from Echinacea purpurea, oleoresin Salvia officinalis, oleoresin Thymus vulgaris, oil extract from Rosmarinus officinalis, oil from Allium sativum, oil from Origanum vulgare Technological additives: preservatives: potassium sorbate (E 202) 5 000 mg, citric acid (E 330) 5 000 mg, emulsifier: glycerol polyethylene glycol ricinoleate (E 484) 100 000 mg Medium: water

PROPERTIES
KOKCIDIN® provides an effective protection against broiler diseases under a moderate exposure to coccidia, as well as alleviates the course of the disease at strong invasion of protozoa. The positive influence of phytogenic ingredients on the quality of meat and eggs is an additional advantage. Garlic (Allium sativum) • antibacterial, antifungal, antiparasitic, antiviral and antiprotozoal effect • immunostimulant properties • increased secretion of enzymes, production of bile and stimulation of intensines Oregano (Origanum vulgare) • disinfectant, anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties • stimulation of the secretion of gastric juices and bile production • antidiarrheal, bactericidal effect and ability to bind harmful products of metabolism
Echinacea purpurea • enhanced immune system action • increased activity of lymphocytes and increased production of cytokines • support for the body after vaccination Rosemary (Rozmarinus officinalis) • antioxidant and aseptic properties • control of digestive function Sage (Salvia officinalis l.) • anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect • reduced excessive fermentation in the intestines Thyme (Thymus vulgaris l.) • antibacterial, antidiarrheal and anti-inflammatory effect • improved absorption of nutrients • easier breathing
Prevention of coccidiosis Large-scale breeding promotes the spread of viral and bacterial infections, and above all, protozoal infections. It is not possible to breed livestock with no prevention of coccidiosis, which aims to reduce the development of parasites in the intestine and inhibit their spreading by limiting the excretion of oocysts in stool and urine. KOKCIDIN® is an effective solution in the prevention of coccidiosis for farms with a moderate degree of coccidiosis infection and a perfect addition to treatment with chemotherapeutics for farms with high contamination with oocysts in the hen-coop. Enhanced growth As a result of the development of coccidiosis, digestive dysfunction and reduced intake of nutrients occur. Increased death rate and reduced weight gain significantly influence the reduction of economic profitability of poultry farming. KOKCIDIN® helps to achieve higher growth and better feed utilisation, thereby significantly improves the efficiency ratio of breeding. Kokcidin®
Increasing resistance to oxidative stress The increase in the intensity of breeding, aiming to achieve body weight at the level of 2 600 g in day 42 of age, contributes to the development of oxidative stress. This is the process of cell damage by free radicals, as a result of exceeding the antioxidant capacity of the chicken’s organism. Damaged cell is not able to perform its proper metabolic functions. Free radicals are formed in each living cell of the organism as a result of the metabolism. It especially relates to the physiological respiration process. KOKCIDIN® provides additional natural antioxidants – free radicals neutralising substances – in the form of polyphenols, that supplement the pool of antioxidants in the body and increase the organism’s resistance to oxidative stress. Using KOKCIDIN® also increases the resistance to infections by protecting the cells of the immune system, particularly sensitive to free radicals.
Why use KOKCIDIN® for prevention of coccidiosis? • • • • • • • • • •
requires no withdrawal period, may be used throughout the whole breeding period plant extracts in the product are rich in PHYTONCIDES which inhibit the growth and development of bacteria, fungi and coccidia exhibits bacteriostatic and immunostimulatory effect is a rich source of antioxidants improves feed utilisation and enhances weight gain increases the secretion of bile increases the enzymatic activity of the intestinal mucosa relieves inflammation of intestines liquid form ensures quick and easy technological integration of the product with animal feed improves the quality of meat and eggs
Kokcidin DRY ®
