A home in the city

Park Place is tucked away in a gated private mews overlooking the green oasis of Kilburn Grange Park. The serene environment provides a retreat in the middle of the hustle and bustle of North West London, and yet cafés, farmers markets and great eateries are just around the corner.

Kilburn Grange Park is a local secret, nestled between Queen’s Park and West Hampstead, it was opened to the public in 1913 having previously been part of the historic Grange Estate.

For the more active there are tennis courts and an outdoor gym, or for those quieter moments there is the beautiful retreat of the Old English rose garden. This sense of green space is core to the design of Park Place, where exclusivity and serenity have been woven into the fabric of the design and architecture.

Within the park, on the southern side of Park Place you will find the Old English rose garden. Planted to ensure a beautiful space year-round, providing a quiet corner to contemplate or relax.

Theatre and Cinema on Your Doorstep A small and old-fashioned entrance on Kilburn High Road leads to the ornate and characterful Tricycle Theatre. A second, larger entrance on Buckley Road, complete with a modern, spacious foyer and abundant natural light, leads to their cinema.

Upon entering Park Place you will be immediately immersed in the character of the development. This is a secret garden, inviting and homely - a place where residents and guests alike can step back from the business of London life to relax and indulge the senses. The garden courtyard is at the heart of the scheme and has been designed to evoke a sense of serene tranquillity, a contemporary oasis. The detailing is crisp and sophisticated, setting the stage in creating an exclusive community. In contrast with the clean lines of the architecture, the perimeter of the courtyard is adorned with verdant layers of fragrant climbers, given rhythm and structure by espalier trees, under-planted for season effect. The main space is framed with porcelain tiles, a detail that is repeated throughout the hard landscaping as part of a contiguous effect. To the western alcove a tabular water feature provides a focus to the landscape from the apartments, adding texture, movement and sound. The setting for the water feature encompasses espalier trees and the universal trellis treatment.

Planting and sustainability Species selection includes native cultivars and provides not just a visually dramatic backdrop to the courtyard areas but also a resource for habitat creation.
