Although Fall is upon us, home prices in Mission Bay are surprisingly heating up. The graph to the left shows the rolling 3 month average $/sqft sold in Mission Bay over the last 3 years. Contary to the suburbs, Summer is typically slow in San Francisco. What’s interesting is that from June to August 2017, there is an increasing average $/sqft sold in our neighborhood. What’s more interesting is that there is a noticeable drop in prices one year ago, and the market only started to rebound in June of this year. The decline in prices in the last 12 months corresponds to the oversupply of inventory at One Mission Bay. Now that One Mission Bay is 70% sold, there is less pressure on the resale market and home prices in the neighborhood have recovered. If you’re thinking of making a move, call me today.
