Hello 2020, Mission Bay condo sales slowed across all buildings in 2019. Days on the market decreased, average sales of $1,370,341 remained strong and steady, and the $1,204 / sf average was in line with neighboring South Beach’s $1,255 / sf. The beautiful Arden stood out from the pack at an average of $1,386 / sf, albeit a mere 9 homes traded hands. Only a few One Mission Bay Developer units remain and One Mission Bay has begun resales. New developments in adjacent Dogpatch are selling well and include 2177 3rd Street and 950 Tennessee Street. Chase Center opened with great fanfare, the new Marriott Hotel is near completion and Mission Rock plans are being finalized. Gus’s Market is a great new addition on 4th Street, and our playground and dog park are always joyfully in use. It seems like there are substantially more people walking around these days with all the new office buildings filling in. Mission Bay is becoming more dense and fulfilling our vision of becoming a vibrant pedestrian neighborhood. Low interest rates and a dynamic job market should deliver another good year in 2020 for condo sales. I hope that you find these reports useful.
