Life & Legacy Erika Monique Fayson peacefully transitioned from this earthly life and into the arms of her loving Savior on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Affectionately known as Tee-Tee, our beloved Erika was born on January 12, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois to her devoted parents, Floyd E. Fayson and the late Beverly Ann Fayson. In her early years, Erika attended Holy Angels Catholic School. After graduating from West Side Senior HS in Gary, Indiana in 1994, Erika attended Taylor University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree. She remained a faithful member of Holy Angels Cathedral Church until moving to Maryland in 2001. Erika often expressed to family and friends that her greatest joy was being a mom to her son Xavier, whom she lovingly called Pooh-Woo and whose extracurricular activities she enjoyed attending. After moving to Maryland in 2001, Erika formed enduring friendships with April Pearson and Jennifer Weaver who became more than friends; they were her chosen family. Tee-Tee cherised every moment she spent with her nieces Natalie(Lady Bug), Ashely (Honey Bee) & Kourtney (Baby Doll), who were a constant and joyful presence in her home. Her unwavering affection for them was evident in the way celebrated their achievments, comforted them during hard times and shared in their everyday adventures. Erika will forever be remembered for beautiful infectious smile and her kind and generous heart. Those left to cherish her memory include: her loving son, Xavier Fayson; her loving father, Floyd E. Fayson; her brother, Floyd Fayson Jr.; her devoted uncles, Edward Batiste (Rose), Andrew Batiste (Mae); her first cousins, Nicole Lathan and Anthony Batiste; her godsister, Natalie Slaughter; her godsons, Thaddeus and Myles Jackson; and a host of family and friends. The family wishes to express its sincere thanks and deep gratitude for all of the expressions of sympathy and the acts of kindness shown during this difficult time. Please keep us in your prayers.
