Salt Lake Community College is Utah’s largest two-year college.

For more than 75 years, SLCC has made major contributions to Utah’s economy by providing education and training that leads to vibrant careers and a high quality of life.

More than 4,000 students graduate from SLCC each year with a degree or certificate.1 The majority (72%) go on to pursue four-year degrees at Utah’s major universities.2

SLCC serves about students per year.

More than 39,000 enroll to earn credit hours while over 13,000 turn to the College annually to pursue not-for-credit education and training.1

In addition to offering associate degrees, SLCC is the leading provider of applied technology courses and workforce programs in the Salt Lake Valley.

In fact, our career and technical education graduates are highly sought after by employers and typically earn starting wages above $50,000.2

SLCC has among the lowest tuition and fees in the state.

We proactively keep the cost of attending college low and are committed to removing the remaining financial barriers that keep students from enrolling and persisting at SLCC.

SLCC offers more than 170 programs in high demand fields within 8 areas of study, including:

• Science, Engineering and Math

• Computer Science and IT

• Construction, Manufacturing and Applied Technologies

• Arts, Communication and Media

• Social and Behavioral Sciences, Education and Human Services

• Humanities 90% of SLCC students graduate without student debt. SLCC provides tuition assistance through federal grants, student loans, and outside scholarships. In 2023-2024, more than 10,219 SLCC students received some form of financial aid.

Since 2014, Open SLCC has saved students $31 million on textbook costs by directing them to free online resources to use in class.

SLCC’s competency-based education recognizes and provides credit for select workplace experience, knowledge, and skills, saving students time and money.

8 Locations + Online

SLCC has 8 locations, making it easy for students to attend no matter where they live in Salt Lake County.

WestPointe Workforce Training and Education Center prepares students for careers in essential fields, including welding, machining, diesel technology, composites manufacturing, and commercial truck driving.

Jordan Campus offers high school and college students opportunities to explore the health sciences, including nursing, biotechnology, and dentistry.

Herriman Campus is shared with the University of Utah, where students can earn associate degrees in specific fields from SLCC and move on to earn bachelor’s degrees from the U.

Miller Campus features training in auto repair, culinary arts, and law enforcement as well as a business incubator with incredible resources for local entrepreneurs through the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program.

South City Campus is home to SLCC’s Center for Arts and Media, which offers state-of-the-art technology and top instructors in journalism, radio, film, television, music, photography, and more.

Other locations include the Taylorsville Redwood Campus, the International Aerospace/Aviation Education Center, and the West Valley Center.
