BRECKENRIDGE DISTILLERY

Breckenridge Distillery opened its doors in October 2010. For owner Bryan Nolt, finding the best distiller possible for Breckenridge meant going back to school. While taking a class at the American Distilling Institute, Bryan met master distiller Jordan Via. Jordan is well known amongst the artisanal distilling community – as the distilling instructor at the Institute, he’s trained most of them. At Breckenridge, Jordan applies a purist, traditional approach to distillation. His handcrafted, small-batch spirits are made using a Vendome custom copper pot still and premium ingredients – no shortcuts or additives are allowed. Jordan attributes the unique taste profile of Breckenridge to the water. The distillery, situated at 9,600 feet above sea level, is the highest in the world. Massive snow fall and the glaciers atop Mt. Quandary, a 14,000 foot peak, provide pristine water with a unique ph balance which lends a distinctive flavor and texture. Says Jordan, “You just can’t underestimate the importance of the water in any spirit… it accounts for greater than half the volume”. Known for its award winning Breckenridge Bourbon, the distillery also distributes Breckenridge Vodka and Breckenridge Bitters. They produce seasonal spirits including a spiced rum and a spiced whiskey only available during the holiday season. Stop by the distillery located at 1925 Airport Road for complimentary tastes and tours or the Main Street Tasting Room in the heart of Breckenridge for complimentary tastes of all of our products!

KICKAPOO TAVERN

The Kickapoo Tavern was established in October 1995 and has been the anchor of the River Run Village in Keystone ever since. Kickapoo originally came from the name of the moonshine in the Lil’ Abner comic strip but Kickapoo has since discovered that it is also the name of several Native American Indian tribes around the country who often visit the tavern. The Kickapoo takes pride in the fact that their food is prepared from scratch and cooked to order for all of their guests. The Kickapoo is one of the best Après Ski bars in the county and amazing place to meet friends.

THE WARMING HUT

The Warming Hut is a unique Breckenridge restaurant serving local, seasonal Colorado comfort food in an inviting atmosphere. The Warming Hut has been a lifelong dream of Stacey Brooks Connolly. After sailing the world for twenty years, Stacey dreamed of putting the knowledge learned throughout her travels of food, atmosphere, wine and entertaining into good use. Opening in 2012, The Warming Hut has completely renovated the O.K. Gaymon House originally built in 1898. The original character, charm and historic register of this residence has been kept intact by Peter Joyce of Rockridge Construction.

Originally from Monchese, Wisconsin, Executive Chef Brandon Farr was lured into the culinary world when his passion for this industry and for food was recognized at an early age. Brandon’s first kitchen position was at the age of fifteen in Wisconsin where he learned to develop his own unique style. He continued his career and his first executive chef position in Oregon. Moving to Breckenridge in 2001 and joining the Blue River Bistro team in 2011 Brandon has refined his culinary talents. Brandon’s culinary philosophy focuses on utilizing Colorado and organic produce and proteins. Since taking over the kitchen, Brandon has showcased his inspirations through his menus and special events hosted at the Blue River Bistro.

TUSCATO RISTORANTE ITALIANO

Tuscato Ristorante, established in 1998, began serving quality Italian food in a casual but elegant environment. The goal of its owners was to be an “everyday” place, with comfort food, affordable prices, and an approachable wine list, easily found on Main Street, in the heart of Frisco, Colorado. Fifteen years later, Tuscato has becomes a locals’ favorite, voted Best Italian Restaurant by the community, seven out of the last eight years. Also popular with repeat travelers to the area, Tuscato has made its way onto the OpenTable Diners’ Choice list several times, most recently in 2013.
