Madhuri Chavan is a Registered Nurse and currently the Corporate Director for Dimensions Healthcare System. She and her husband, Sudhir have an 18 year old daughter. Selma Chaij Mastrapa was born in Argentina. She is a retired psychologist, school counselor and university professor. She has been a member of Sligo church for over 22 years. She served as greeter, head elder, and now she volunteers wherever needed. Erwin Mack is Sligo’s Head Elder. He is also a former teacher, principal, World Purchasing director for the General Conference & former business owner. He is busier than ever in retirement with carpentry, antique cars & making children’s toys. Michael Blaney has sung with the Sligo Sanctuary Choir on a few occasions. He has also sung in many other professional venues including the Washington Opera Chorus. Michael is always highly acclaimed and well-received.

John Konrad, 43, vice president and general manager of

WGTS 91.9, died surrounded by friends and family after a brief illness on January 2nd. He became the General Manager of WGTS in 1996 and doubled the station’s coverage area. The station ranks among the top 10 in the Washington D.C. market. His life will be celebrated on Sabbath, January 12, at 3 p.m. in the Sligo Sanctuary. Stewardship: This month Sligo youth will be exploring

the topic of ‘Stewardship.’ We hope you will join us in the youth room as we see how to become better stewards of our time, our money and our relationships. The series’ first instalments are an open forum on Friday, January 11 at 6 p.m. and a special Bible Study on Friday, January 18 at 6 p.m.
