Pam Arner teaches Kindergarten and has been at Sligo for seven years. Her passions are cooking, crafts and taking care of her two children and husband. Jordan Beck teaches 3rd grade and has been teaching for six years. She graduated from Columbia Union College with a BA in Liberal Studies and is currently working on her Masters. Joya Follette teaches classroom music and directs the middle school choir. She has taught for five years at SAS. Under her directorship the middle school choir sang the National Anthem at the Verizon Center. This year SAS students again have a date to sing the National Anthem on March 13, 2013. Vinod Thamby has worked as the Assistant Plant Manager for Sligo Adventist School for the past 6 years. He currently holds a M.S. degree in Education and a B.S. in Theology through Spicer College. Kerrian Wanga is Sligo’s Assistant Principal and teaches computers. She has taught at Sligo for 12 years and directs the morning praise service along with being the senior editor of the Sligo Scoop Newspaper.

The Sligo youth department is partnering with Young

Life, an international teen Christian mentoring program. Sligo church will become a site for Young Life in this area starting in the spring. We are currently seeking people of any age who are willing to be mentors. A free 8-week training will be provided.
