CHILDREN & YOUTH Sligo Adventurers: If you have children ages 4-9 years old, we invite you to join our Adventurer Club. We will have a table in the Atrium for pre-registration. The first meeting will be held in the Primary II room on August 9th starting with a potluck lunch at 1:45 p.m. The meeting, registration and parents meeting will begin at 2:30 p.m. Sligo School: Apply today! Families may register online through our website www.sligoadventistschool.org We are happy to announce that Children’s Choir rehearsals resume in September under the leadership of Mrs. Joya Follette. Registration will be held in the Atrium on August 9 and 16. If your child was previously a choir member, please come and greet Mrs. Follette and let her know your child will continue with the choir. We also welcome new choir members, who must be signed up by their parents/guardians. Come and be a part of a vibrant music ministry! Michelle Koilpillai is a dentist. She has been attending Sligo Church since birth. In her spare time, she can be found hiking, reading, baking and spending time with family, friends, and her dog, Rocky. Bogdan Scur is a Sabbath School and small group leader. Bogdan, an Associate Professor of Religion, teaches the languages of the Bible at Washington Adventist University along with other Old Testament subjects.

Fitzroy Thomas is dedicated to serving others with his gifts of welcoming and connecting visitors and members. He, along with his wife, Jennifer lead a Sabbath School class especially for new believers. Fitzroy is looking forward to the new year at Washington Adventist University, where he plays a key role in welcoming new students. Dave Weigley is President of the Columbia Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in the mid-Atlantic United States where more than 130,000 baptized members worship in 700 churches and operate 95 schools and eight community service centers. Weigley attended Washington Adventist University and Southern Adventist University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration in Managerial Leadership. He has served in a variety of leadership positions in the church, including pastor, department director and administrator. Dave and his wife, Becky, have two adult children—Christy and Jon—and five grandchildren.
