welcome
Welcome to Sligo today. When you hear someone say the word commitment, what thoughts immediately come to mind? For some it is fear and trepidation, February 20, Saturday while for others it’s the thing that helps make life work. But what is it about this word that can create such Young Adults GLOW, Memorial Chapel, 9:30 a.m. opposing responses? Commitment is simply defined as Adventurer Meeting, Junior Room, 1:30 p.m. the state or quality of being dedicated to something or someone. Despite how the word may make us feel, each of us February 21, Sunday is committed to something in this life, even if we realize it or not. Pathfinder Meeting, Office Chapel, 9:30 a.m. Whether our commitment is to a relationship or a particular ideology, there is really no escaping it. But what makes this word such a curse February 22, Monday for some and a blessing for others is that in order to experience it you Regeneration Ministries, Office Conference Room, 7:30 p.m. must be willing to become vulnerable and not many are willing to do that. And herein lies the challenge of being a member of the Body of February 24, Wednesday Christ. If we are going to experience the kind of community for which God has created us, we must be willing to take the time to remove the Prayer Gathering, Sanctuary, 7:00 p.m. walls that separate us and enter into one another’s space. (or by phone: 949.229.4400 Pin:4997774#, 7:35 p.m.) - Charles A. Tapp Sligo Adult Choir Rehearsal, Choir Room, 8:00 p.m.

OUR LIFE TOGETHER
sabbath devotional
“It is in small groups that people can get close enough to know each other, to care and share, to challenge and support, to confide and confess, to forgive and be forgiven, to laugh and weep together, to be accountable to each other, to watch over each other and to grow together. Personal growth does not happen in isolation. It is the result of interactive relationships. Small groups are God’s gift to foster changes in character and spiritual growth.” - Gilbert Bilezikian
