You don’t have to be a member of a church for very long before you recognize that the topic of worship February 24, Monday can at times be an extremely volatile one. For some Regeneration Ministries, Office Conf. Room, 7:00 p.m. reason, when many well-meaning Christians come Administrative Board Meeting is cancelled together for the corporate worship of their God, they have a difficult time reaching a consensus as to how February 25, Tuesday that worship should take place. In many churches these “worship Prayer Gathering, Sanctuary, 7:00 p.m. wars” have divided not only congregations, but entire families as February 26, Wednesday well. One has to wonder why the worship of a holy God, by those who claim to love and serve Him, can at times spark such controversy Sligo Ringers, SAS - Room 114, 7:00 p.m. and contempt. As you join us in worship today, Dr. Cheryl Wilson Sanctuary Choir Rehearsal, Choir Room, 7:30 p.m. Bridges, pastor for worship here at Sligo, will give us a glimpse into February 28, Friday the true worship that God requires of His people in her message, Telugu Vespers, Memorial Chapel, 7:00 p.m. “The Windows of Worship.” As we prepare to take a look into this window, my prayer is that we will begin to receive a clearer vision of March 1, Saturday worship that not only pleases God, but a worship that has the power to AHE Meeting, Fellowship Hall B, 8:30 a.m. transform us. • The Bible is the inspired word of God and our only rule of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17). • Jesus Christ is the Divine Son of God and our personal Savior from sin by grace through faith. (John 1:1-3; Ephesians 2:8). • Having been saved, followers of Jesus live in obedience to Him by observing the Ten Commandments. (Exodus 20: 1-17; John 14:15). • The Sabbath – the seventh day of the week- established by God at creation and honored by Jesus in His earthly ministry, is to be observed by the followers of Jesus. (Exodus 20:8-11; 1 Peter 2:21). • Jesus is coming back to earth personally and visibly to raise the righteous dead and give His faithful children of all ages immortality in an earth made new. (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; Revelation 22:12; 21:1-3). • Our love for God is demonstrated primarily by our love for our fellowmen. (1 John 4:20; Matthew 25:34-40)

“The sun,--the bright sun, that brings back, not light alone, but new life, and hope, and freshness to man--burst upon the crowded city in clear and radiant glory. Through costly-coloured glass and papermended window, through cathedral dome and rotten crevice, it shed its equal ray.” - Charles Dickens
