Welcome to Sligo today. This may sound like a strange question, but I’m going to ask it regardless. Why do we celebrate the Lord’s Supper? I’m sure that our first March 18, Saturday response may be, because Jesus asked his disciples Young Adults GLOW, Memorial Chapel, 9:30 a.m. to observe it and since we are Christ’s disciples, then it’s not only our right but it’s also our privilege. As a March 20, Monday pastor, it has been my responsibility to lead out in this service, which Regeneration Ministries, Office Conference Room, 7:30 p.m. I have done for the past 35 years. But as a follower of Jesus Christ, I come to this table because Jesus has provided it as a means to acknowledge that the Kingdom of God that was ushered in during his March 22, Wednesday life and ministry, will soon be established on the earth in all it’s power Prayer Gathering, Sanctuary, 7:00 p.m. and glory. In Matthew 26:29 Jesus makes it clear that the next time (or by phone: 949.229.4400 Pin:4997774#, 7:35 p.m. He partakes of the bread and wine it will be with us in His Father’s Kingdom. So each time we come to the Table, it serves as a powerful Choir Rehearsal, Choir Room, 8:00 p.m. reminder that in order to be part of God’s future Kingdom, we need to March 23, Thursday be a part of his kingdom now. - Charles A. Tapp Exercise Class, Office Chapel, 6:30 p.m.

Did you Know that… The Adventist Community Center (ACS) has a long history with Sligo Church. Plans laid in 1977 for a new Adventist Community Services Center came to fruition in 1983 with the opening of a new facility on Sligo Avenue, in Silver Spring. ACS is operated by a consortium of local Adventist churches, including Sligo Church. ACS serves those in need by offering assistance with rent, emergency utility payments, groceries, clothing, and other related services. Several Sligo Church members have served as the Director of ACS. Currently Sligo member, Ken Flemmer, is the executive director of ACSGW (Greater Washington). The ACS Boardroom is dedicated to Sligo Church member Florence Dorn. Florence, who served for many years as Secretary to the ACS Board, and her husband Walter Dorn, D.D. S., were strong pillars of Sligo Church.

(1 Thessalonians 4:15-17; Revelation 22:12; 21:1-3). • Our love for God is demonstrated primarily by our love for our fellowmen. (1 John 4:20; Matthew 25:34-40).
