Arthur Keough Lectureship, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Zdravko Plantak April 10: “Radical Liminality: Re-Imagining and Re-Performing our Faith on the Thresholds of Life” (WAU Richards Hall, 6:00 p.m.) April 11: “Liminal Radicality: The Mission of the Church through the Embodied Proclamation” (WAU Richards Hall, 4:00 p.m.) Can you host families in need? Two families from the Winter Haven Hypothermia Shelter who frequently attend Sligo are in need of temporary housing for 1-2 months. Montgomery County Social Services will pay a $300 per month stipend to the host family/individual (residing in Montgomery County) to assist with expenses. The family size is a mother with three children. Please contact Dr. Robinson at 301.325.5596 if you are willing to assist. Want to become a part of our New Security Ministry? We are in need of both men and women who would like to assist in keeping our children and church family safe. Welcome to Sligo Church. For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by television dramas whose theme is centered around a court room March 21, Saturday type setting. And no, I’m not referring to what you see Hymn Festival, featuring Strings for Joy and the New England aired on many of the reality TV court shows on many Youth Ensemble, Sanctuary, 6:30 p.m. of the networks. Rather, the type of courtroom-based drama that has captivated me from the time I was a child is that March 22, Sunday which has been more along the lines of shows like that of Perry Pathfinder Meeting, Office Chapel, 9:00 a.m. Mason, Ironside, LA Law and Judging Amy just to name a few. The annual event is free to the public and features live music, food and family entertainment. The event has been an annual tradition on campus for more than a decade, and it is the highlight of the university’s Alumni Weekend, which is April 9-12.
