welcome
Welcome to Sligo Church. In all of the courtroom scenes that I have viewed on television, the most suspenseful time in the trial for me has been when March 28, Saturday both sides have been notified that the verdict is in. G. S. Helen Peterson Memorial Service, Sanctuary, 5:00 p.m. What this means is that the jury has completed its deliberations and has finally reach its verdict, a March 30, Monday decision of whether the accused has been deemed guilty or innocent Regeneration Ministries, Office Conference Room, 7:30 p.m. of the offence for which he or she has been charged. The jury, typiMarch 31, Tuesday cally a group made up of twelve men and women, have been sworn to weigh all the evidence that has been presented throughout the Sligo Bell Choir Practice, SAS Room #114, 7:00 p.m. trial and to render an impartial decision. During all stages of the trial, jurors are permitted to take notes of the proceedings as well as to April 1 - 5, Resurrection Weekend Services pass notes to the foreman and on to the judge if some clarification is Please see announcement for details needed. Depending on the nature of the case, sometimes the jury’s deliberation may only last a few hours, but in the more challenging April 6, Monday ones it can take several weeks and even months. But at the end of First Monday, Halcyon Hall in WAU, 7:00 p.m. the day what’s most important is that the jury’s decision is an honest Regeneration Ministries, Office Conference Room, 7:30 p.m. reflection of the evidence presented. - Charles A. sabbath devotional
“Perseverance is the badge of true saints. The Christian life is not a beginning only in the ways of God, but also a continuance in the same as long as life lasts. It is with a Christian as it was with the great Napoleon: he said, “Conquest has made me what I am, and conquest must maintain me.”” – Charles Spurgeon
