Welcome to Sligo. Today is very special, not just because it is the Sabbath, but also because as God’s children we are able to join together in worship. It is well known that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. Yet as we follow Jesus, the path

is seldomly straight. God seems to lead us on a circuitous path through various waypoints as we make our way to our final destination. These waypoints oftentimes don’t May 21, Wednesday seem to make sense or please us, yet it is in the journey itself that God prepares us for the destination. In the end, Sanctuary Choir Rehearsal, Choir Room, 7:30 p.m. it is the destination that really matters and that is God’s May 25, Sunday priority for each of us. Today we will look at one of the Pathfinder Meeting, Office Chapel, 9:30 a.m. greatest journeys recorded in the Bible and by so doing we hopefully will better understand how God is leading us to May 26, Monday our heavenly home.
