ANNOUNCEMENTS (continued)

welcome

Welcome to Sligo today. There are countless books in circulation regarding how God dramatically answered prayers and how He miraculously rescued people from May 20, Saturday what appeared to be certain death. At the same time, on Young Adults GLOW, Memorial Chapel, 9:30 a.m. the flipside of the coin, there are stories about how God A Taste of Russia, Atrium, 5:00 p.m. failed to answer prayers, many of which were prayed with conviction and accompanied by unwavering faith - a child May 22, Monday died despite many hours of ardent prayer by faithful believers, a seemingly righteous woman sobbingly prayed for her alcoholic Regeneration Ministries, Office Conference Room, 7:30 p.m. husband each night and he got increasingly worse instead of amending his ways. Many ask the question, “Does prayer work?” Perhaps the May 24, Wednesday more important question to ask is, “What is prayer?” I believe that Prayer Gathering, Sanctuary, 7:00 p.m. when we understand the nature of prayer, we can always say with (or by phone: 949.229.4400 Pin:4997774#, 7:35 p.m.) confidence that prayer works. Join me as we endeavor to establish in Sanctuary Choir Rehearsal, Choir Room, 8:00 p.m. today’s message, “Game or Game Changer,” certain encouraging facts about prayer. May 25, Thursday - Don McFarlane Exercise Class, Office Chapel, 6:30 p.m.
