welcome
Welcome to Sligo today. I don’t know about you, but as I have said on many occasions, Thanksgiving is my all-time favorite holiday, primarily due to the fact November 18, Saturday that in my opinion it is the least commercial of all our Young Adults GLOW, Memorial Chapel, 9:30 a.m. holidays. It is also my favorite holiday because of the Barn Party, Atrium, 7:00 p.m. many positive memories it created for me as a child. One of my favorite memories, in addition to bringing our family together for times of fun, food and football, are the smells November 19, Sunday that emanated from the kitchen, as my mother would create our Exercise Class, Office Chapel, 9:00 a.m. family’s favorite dishes. Those aromas were so powerful that they November 20, Monday have been etched in my mind even until this day. But as engaging and enticing as these aromas were, they merely served as the prelude to Recovery Ministry, Office Conference Room, 7:30 p.m. the actual meal itself. Once we began to partake of the actual meal, November 21, Tuesday the aromas would quickly take a backseat to the flavor of the feast. As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, it would behoove us as Sanctuary Choir Rehearsal, Choir Room, 8:00 p.m. Christians not to lose sight of the flavors that should be associated November 22, Wednesday with people that possess grateful hearts for being the beneficiaries of God’s unconditional love.
