welcome
Welcome to Sligo. It has become painfully clear that one of the things that is lacking in many of our churches today is a sense of reverence. For whatever the reason, it appears as though the September 13, Saturday sense of awe and wonderment that we once felt Homeless Ministry, Discipleship Room, 2:00 p.m. for God and all things related has somewhat diminished in our ranks if not disappeared September 14, Sunday altogether. But when you think about it, could it be that whether Pathfinder Meeting, Office Chapel, 9:00 a.m. your place in the service each week is sitting in the pew or standing behind the pulpit, are we really sure that we have a September 15, Monday confident grasp on what reverence in relationship to God is really Regeneration Ministries, Office Conference Room, 7:00 p.m. all about? To some, reverence may mean remaining perfectly Finance Committee Meeting, Senior Pastor’s Office, 6:00 p.m. quiet throughout the entire service; while for others it may mean shouting praises to God at the top of their lungs. What does it September 16, Tuesday mean to truly have reverence for God? Today we begin a series Prayer Gathering, Sanctuary, 7:00 p.m. on the reverence of God titled “On Holy Ground” with the mesOr by phone: 949.229.4400 Pin:4997774#, 7:35 p.m. sage, “Holy Dirt.” And over the next several weeks we will take a look at what true reverence of God is all about as well as the September 17, Wednesday part that God expects it to play in our lives. - Charles A. Tapp Sanctuary Choir Rehearsal, Choir Room, 7:30 p.m.
