welcome
Welcome to Sligo! This week, we have experienced a time of spiritual renewal as we joined with our sister institution, Washington Adventist University, in September 16, Saturday what has come to be known simply as WISE, which Young Adults GLOW, Memorial Chapel, 9:30 a.m. stands for Week in Spiritual Emphasis. The theme for this week has been “Winning Wars Within,” which is September 17, Sunday based on this year’s overall theme for the campus, “GROUNDED!” It is always a special time for us when the entire Exercise Class, Office Chapel, 9:00 a.m. campus pauses each day from 11:15 to noon as we escape from the September 18, Monday rigors of academia to come together as a community for corporate worship and see our students leading out in the various aspects of Regeneration Ministries, Office Conference Room, 7:30 p.m. the service. Our speaker for this year’s WISE has been Dr. Anthony Medley, Senior Pastor of the Emmanuel Brinklow Church in Brinklow, September 20, Wednesday Maryland. Pastor Medley’s messages throughout this week have Prayer Gathering, Sanctuary, 7:00 p.m. resonated not just with the students, but also with the faculty, staff Sanctuary Choir Rehearsal, Choir Room, 8:00 p.m. and administration. Today we are pleased to welcome Pastor Medley to the Sligo pulpit as he shares his final message for the week, titled, “The Winner’s Profile.” - Charles A. Tapp

Leader: After these things, I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, Congregation: and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” Leader: All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, Congregation: saying: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, Thanksgiving and honor and power and might, Be to our God forever and ever. Amen.” Leader: Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?” Congregation: And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” Leader: So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
