welcome
Welcome to Sligo Church today. While a student at Oakwood College, one of my favorite times of the school year was when the institution celebrated its April 9, Saturday annual homecoming weekend. At the time, having only been an Adventist for about a year, it was so thrilling Young Adults GLOW, Memorial Chapel, 9:30 a.m. for me to see thousands return to the place that so Children’s Choir Rehearsal, Choir Room, 1:15 p.m. many called home during their collegiate years. And Homeless Ministry, Discipleship Room, 2:00 p.m. I am not exaggerating when I say that literally thousands would return each year to the grounds where so many fond memories were created April 10, Sunday and lasting friendships were formed. When the time finally came for Pathfinder Meeting, Office Chapel, 9:30 a.m. me to take part in the homecoming festivities, not as a student this time but as a proud alumnus, I couldn’t wait. There is something April 11, Monday special about returning to the place where so much growth took place, not just academically, but socially and spiritually as well. Today Regeneration Ministries, Office Conference Room, 7:30 p.m. we welcome all who have returned to these sacred grounds and our prayer for you is that as you stroll through our beautiful campus that April 13, Wednesday your thoughts will take you back to the many precious memories Prayer Gathering, Sanctuary, 7:00 p.m. which you made while here and that you can say with all sincerity that (or by phone: 949.229.4400 Pin:4997774#, 7:35 p.m.) you are home. - Charles A. Tapp Sligo Adult Choir Rehearsal, Choir Room, 8:00 p.m.

sabbath devotional
Today’s Sanctuary flowers are from Washington Adventist University’s Office of Alumni Relations.
“If you don’t feel strong desires for the manifestation of the glory of God, it is not because you have drunk deeply and are satisfied. It is because you have nibbled so long at the table of the world. Your soul is stuffed with small things, and there is no room for the great.”
