Dhanushka Abeywikrama - MSc Architecture - Year 01 - 2022

Ever since I was a child, I have always had an interest in art in its most basic form. Abstracts and designs inspired me, and colors and details intrigued me. Deciding to follow my passion, I continued to do art for my advanced levels, at this point only having a vague clue as to where I’m headed but knowing that this is what I wanted to follow. In being exposed to the real world, I was also exposed to the real-world issues, the society and its social and psychological aspects; the varying of needs and the fluctuations of a single human beings to large communities. I realized the point where my interests collided was the art form and design of architecture. I earned my Bachelors in architecture with First class honors and a best performance award from Liverpool John Moore’s University (LJMU), UK via SLIIT School of Architecture. This course of study gave me a thorough foundation of knowledge in architecture and design. I also take the initiative to enhance my education outside the classroom. I constantly strive for excellence and am committed to making my time as an undergraduate as productive and beneficial as possible. In my free time, I took part in several architecture and design seminars, and I participated in a number of additional courses to obtain certification in different software applications. I also participated in the Inspirelli awards 2020 and was awarded the third place.

PROJECT SUMMARY

The community with lower incomes has always been the victim of unequal access to resources. Whether it is health, education, or any other aspect of life, the poor have been disproportionately impacted by limited opportunities. These disparities have widened the chasm between rich and poor, resulting in further deterioration of their circumstances. Similarly, in terms of technology, the situation is identical. For instance, when the Covid-19 outbreak made headlines in 2020, every person in the country required Zoom in order to receive an education. The poor were unable to afford the technology due to their financial insecurity. As a result, they were the segment that was most severely impacted by the pandemic.

This situation must be immediately reversed if we are to move forward as a country. Everyone, not just a small segment of the population, needs to embrace technology. As the expression implies, technology became possible as a result of human imagination. Because each individual is unique by nature, we rely on the perspectives of these marginalized groups to keep up with the rest of the world. The concept was developed to eliminate disparities between rich and poor people and to integrate the poor into today's technological world

Technology has become the principal focus point in practically all the activities going place in the contemporary global setting For an example the current worldwide epidemic which is the Covid 19 might be given. With the surge in pandemic the whole planet was locked.
