IN SUMMER LAW PROGRAM MADRID
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
•SLU LAW’s most popular study abroad program. Open to all law students who have completed one year of legal study and are in good standing.
•Classes end by mid-afternoon on Monday through Thursday. No classes are held on Fridays allowing students to explore Madrid and the rest of Europe on the weekends.
•Earn up to six credit hours in international and comparative law in just six weeks.
•All of the credits count towards SLU LAW’s International and Comparative Law Concentration.
•Complimentary non-credit Introduction to Spanish class.
•Courses are taught in English by SLU LAW and Spanish law professors at SLU’s very own Madrid campus.
•The program includes guided visits to various legal and cultural institutions.

The Summer Law Program in Madrid is held on the Madrid campus of Saint Louis University. The campus is located in the northwest section of Madrid near other universities and within a 20-minute subway ride to the city’s historical center. The closest metro station to SLU Madrid’s campus is Guzmán el Bueno.
The modern and updated Saint Louis University Madrid campus is equipped with classrooms, a library, computer labs, and a cafeteria. As the campus is open year-round, students will be able to experience a comfortable and supportive campus atmosphere during their six weeks in Madrid. Staff and faculty speak English fluently and are happy to assist students with their needs. From educational programs to extracurricular activities, students will feel at home in the heart of Spain.

Early Registration Deadline. ($300 discount)
International internship letter of intent and resume due .
Saturday, March 1, 2025:
Application Deadline and a nonrefundable
$250 deposit due. The $250 deposit will be applied to your tuition.
Tuesday, April 1, 2025:
Deadline for the $120 international insurance fee.
Friday, April 11, 2025:
Financial aid request due to Jessica Seavers, Assistant Director of Student Financial Services and Financial Education
Tuesday, April 15, 2025: Mandatory Pre-Departure Meeting.
