CHRISTIAN FORMATION | 10 am FAITH AND LITERATURE Saint Michael Chapel TODAY: Madeleine L’Engle’s “A Wrinkle in Time”, winner of the 1963 Newberry Medal, with Chris Girata “It was a dark and stormy night; Meg Murry, her small brother Charles Wallace, and her mother had come down to the kitchen for a midnight snack when they were upset by the arrival of a most disturbing stranger. ‘Wild nights are my glory,’ the unearthly stranger told them...” JUNE 17: Kate Bowler’s “Everthing Happens for a Reason”, New York Times Bestseller, with Greg Pickens Frank and funny, dark and wise, Kate Bowler pulls the reader deeply into her life in an account she populates affectionately with a colorful, often hilarious retinue of friends, mega-church preachers, relatives, and doctors. Everything Happens for a Reason tells her story, offering up her irreverent, hard-won observations on dying and the ways it has taught her to live.
