ALL OTHER CHILDREN & YOUTH FORMATION CLASSES ARE NOW ON SUMMER BREAK! Formation (Sunday School) will resume on August 26th, when we will be embarking on our huge, parish-wide God’s Story series!

DOUGLAS AVENUE

ADULT

For God’s Story, children and youth will still go to all of their age-appropriate classes. This will be a fantastic time as all of us—literally everyone—will learn the same lessons each Sunday as we work our way through the story of the Bible!

CHRISTIAN FORMATION | 10 am FAITH AND LITERATURE Saint Michael Chapel TODAY: Thornton Wilder’s “The Skin of Our

Teeth”, with Tom Blackmon Time magazine called The Skin of Our Teeth “a sort of Hellzapoppin’ with brains,” as it broke from established theatrical conventions and walked off with the 1943 Pulitzer Prize for Best Drama. Meet George and Maggie Antrobus (married only 5,000 years); their two children, Gladys and Henry (perfect in every way!); and their maid, Sabina (the ageless vamp) as they overcome ice, flood, and war -- by the skin of their teeth.

AUGUST 5: Elie Wiesel’s “Night”, with Lauren Wainwright Night is Elie Wiesel’s masterpiece, a candid, horrific, and deeply poignant autobiographical account of his survival as a teenager in the Nazi death camps. This new translation by Marion Wiesel, Elie’s wife and frequent translator, presents this seminal memoir in the language and spirit truest to the author’s original intent. And in a substantive new preface, Elie reflects on the enduring importance of Night and his lifelong, passionate dedication to ensuring that the world never forgets man’s capacity for inhumanity to man.
