The Twenty-Fifth Sunday after Pentecost: Proper 27
November 11, 2018 Welcome To Saint Michael! We’re glad you’ve chosen to worship with us today as we move further in to our year-long “God’s Story” journey (reading the entire Bible) and seek to learn more about being disciples of Jesus. If you are visiting or in need of prayer support, please fill out a communication/prayer request card located in the backs of the pews. Saint Michael is a family and we hope you’ll consider becoming a part of it. Come back soon!

With its themes of light and darkness, snow and cold, temptation and sin, forgiveness and hope, C.S. Lewis’ enchanting novel for children, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, is in fact both a delightful and serious Advent story for adults. You don’t have to have read the book to attend this Quiet Day, where through discussion and personal reflection we’ll talk about faith and imagination in our own lives and explore the promise of Incarnation as conceived in the novel and scripture.
Dr. Margaret Harper Associate Director of Music and Organist Owen Reid Organ Scholar

PRAYING OUR GOODBYES | NOV. 28 Wednesday, November 28 | 10 - 11:30 a.m. | Parlor A mourning and grief support ministry that addresses grief of any kind - such as a death, a job loss, a business, a home, or divorce. Utilizing readings from the book, “Praying Our Goodbyes” by Joyce Rupp, The Rev. Dr. Nusser-Telfer, helps those in attendance examine their grief and recognize it. All are losses that we grieve and we must grieve in order to recognize that loss. The Rev. Dr. Nusser-Telfer tells us “that for humans to shorten or circumvent the grieving process is to invite illness and even severe depression.” RSVP and Questions: hnussertelfer@aol.com.
