LENTEN RETREAT Led by Brother James Koester & Brother Jim Woodrum, SSJE

March 30 | 9 a.m. - Noon | Coke Room This day will have ample times of silence to allow us to come away, and rest awhile. Interspersed throughout our time together, will be a series of addresses focused on some of the characters in the Gospel of John and how they invite us to reflect on what Prologue might mean where it says to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God, who were born, not of blood or of the will of the flesh or of the will of man, but of God.

$10 Admission Register at saintmichael.org/lentenretreat by March 29. Questions? hfisher@saintmichael.org

MORE UPCOMING OPPORTUNITIES ADMISSION OF CHORISTERS | MAR. 31 On March 31 at 9 a.m., some of our new boy and girl choristers will receive their white surplices to wear over their red cassocks during services in a ceremony called Whiting. To achieve this admission, choristers have worked for months to complete a curriculum based on the Royal School of Church Music which includes singing technique, reading music, theory, analysis, behavior, teamwork, and Christian formation. Join us as we recognize their accomplishment and welcome them as full members of our choristers! HONDURAS THREADS INFORMATION DINNER | MAR. 21 Thursday, March 21 6 - 8 p.m. Coke Activities Room The Honduras Threads mission trip is from June 23-29. Running a business means putting processes in place for sales, fulfilling orders, billing and quality control. As the Honduras Threads social enterprise grows, the focus this year is on improving these processes. It’s also on continuing to learn what customers really want. We need your help with this work. Neither deep knowledge of process improvement nor fluency in Spanish is required. Instead, an inquisitive mind, ability to collaborate and a desire to facilitate change are what’s needed among missioners. RSVP to mlou@hondurasthreads.org before Tuesday, March 19. If you are interested in this mission trip but can’t come to the dinner, please email the above address with your contact information. PT CRUISERS GO TO THE DALLAS ARBORETUM | MAR. 21 9:30 a.m. | Dallas Arboretum Come join us as we tiptoe through the tulips at Dallas Blooms at the Arboretum. See God’s spring handiwork! Cost is $10 plus “on your own” lunch at the Highland Park Cafeteria. Deadline to register is today! Call Bonita Frederick at 214.728.6440 to make your reservation.

CHORISTER CAMP | AUG. 23-25 On August 23-25, we will have Chorister Camp at Camp All Saints on Lake Texoma. All children in grades 3-8 are welcome - no prior music experience is needed. This is a great time to try out our Chorister program and see if it’s a good fit for your child! In addition to singing, we will spend time on pontoon boats on the lake, on a water trampoline, mountain biking, eating s’mores by the campfire, and much more! Kick off the new school year with Saint Michael Choristers: sign up your child today! For a guaranteed spot, RSVP to Meg Harper mharper@saintmichael.org, by April 15th. LENTEN OUTREACH SUNDAY | APR. 24 Please stop by the Parlor before or after your church service to participate in making Easter baskets and cards for children served by Jubilee Park and Community Center, Project Moses, and VNA Meals on Wheels.
