EDUCATION FOR MINISTRY | RESUMES AUG 27 Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m.-noon or 6:30-9:15 p.m. Drake Room | Led by Elizabeth Lang Education for Ministry is a program for adult christian education that combines study of scriptures, christian history, and theology with a focus on ordinary experience in order to discern God’s presence in one’s life. The program comes from the Episcopal Seminary at Sewanee and has become famous for educating adults to see God acting through their lives as well as developing knowledge of scripture and theology. Registration required. $365 tuition/year. Partial scholarships are available. (Weekly class attendance for 9 months). There are two spaces in the morning class and one in the evening class. St. Mary’s Guild provides opportunities for hospitality, service, and fellowship. Members provide home-baked goodies and/or staff the “Yield to Temptation” table in the South Entrance one Sunday morning a month from September through May.
