Welcome to Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. Celebrate America Today our choir accompanied by orchestra and organ will lead us in great patriotic hymns and their anthem, “God Bless America” at the 10:00 worship service in the Church. The postlude will be Music Directors James Diaz’ and Hyeon Jeong’s organ duet of John Philip Susa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever.” Welcome, Goodbye, and Pie Following worship everyone gathers in the Garden Cloister to enjoy holiday favorites, pie, ice cream, and hot dogs. We’ll officially welcome The Rev. Hunter Ruffin, Associate for Mission and Outreach, and say farewell to Marta Holden, Director of Lay Ministry Engagement, as she and her husband move to North Carolina this summer. Hunter Ruffin Marta Holden Conversation on Rector Search and Transition Starts at 12:00 Noon. The time for today’s “Conversation” with the Rector Search and Transition team has been changed to 12:00 Noon in the Coke Activities Room. The time change allows parishioners to fully enjoy the Celebrate America, Welcome Hunter, say Goodbye to Marta reception…and eat more pie. Pray for the Rector Search and Transition. A special place has been set up in the Bishop Moore Chapel for parishioners to pray for our Rector Search and Transition. Every parishioner is urged, to join in prayer, thanking God and asking for wisdom through our Rector transition. A copy of the Prayer for the Search of Our Rector is included in today’s worship bulletin. Take it with you and make it a part of your daily meditation.
