The Fellowship Class is designed for young and middle age adults. There are plenty of Christian formation opportunities at Saint Michael. Thank you for worshiping with us. NATIVITY PAGEANT TRYOUTS This Afternoon. Tryouts for 3rd through 8th grade children for this year’s Nativity Pageant will be held today between 12:00 Noon and 2:00. All children who tryout will get a part in the production. If your child is between 3 years old and 2nd grade, they already have a part, you just need to register them at www.saintmichael.org/nativity. The pageant will be Sunday, December 20. Prayer Team Offers Music and Quiet Time Over Lunch – Wednesday, October 14. Lunch is a great time to relieve a little stress and reset your day. There’s no better place than at Noonday Prayers in the Saint Michael Chapel. Music Director James Diaz will provide the music to sooth a tough morning and there will be 10 minutes of quiet, meditative time and intercessory prayer. The first Noonday Prayers will be Wednesday, October 14 beginning at 11:45 in the Saint Michael Chapel. Bring a sack lunch. You can come and go as you want. Think about bringing a friend. PT Cruisers Head North. The PT Cruisers will visit our neighbor to the northMcKinney! On Thursday, October 15, we will board the bus at the church at 11:00 for the drive to Chestnut Square in McKinney where we will have lunch and then a bus tour of the town. Cost for our outing is $20. Call Mary Davis for reservations at 214-363-7761. The deadline for reservations is today. Women Of Saint Michael Luncheon Features Jann Mackey. Jann Mackey will address the Women of Saint Michael on Wednesday, October 21. Jann is a frequent lecturer in SMU’s Continuing and Professional Education programs as well as for local historic preservation organizations. She has been awarded a fellowship from the Royal Oaks Society, The British National Trust and The Attingham Trust to conduct an in-depth study of British country houses. She currently serves on the board of Preservation Dallas and the Saint Michael and All Angels Foundation. Jann will discuss “Historic Neighborhoods of Dallas: The Heart of the City.” The luncheon will begin at 11:30 in Parish Hall. Parish Survey: Results and Conversation Meetings Scheduled The Rector Search and Transition Committee has scheduled four meetings in October to discuss the Parish Survey; your views and the characteristics you want in our new Rector. The meetings will be held: • Tuesday, October 13

Bishop-Elect George Sumner to Preach at Saint Michael October 25. Come welcome bishop-elect George Sumner to our diocese on Sunday, October 25. The Rev. Sumner will preach at the 9:00 and 11:00 services in the church. The Bishop-Elect’s consecration will be 11:00 Saturday, November 14 at First United Methodist Church at Ross and Harwood. Youth Design Team Formed. Youth Ministry, in partnership with Ministry Architects, is pleased to announce that they have formed a new committee that is dedicated to building a more sustainable youth ministry. Honduras Threads Studio Sale Set for October 23 - 25. October 23-25 is Honduras Threads Annual Studio Sale at Craighead Green Gallery, 1011 Dragon Street in the Design District. SMU Choirs Combine for Saint Michael Presents Community Concert. The three choirs from SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts are combining for a community concert at Saint Michael on Thursday, November 12. The concert is free to the public. Saint Mary’s Guild was started in 1950 by our first Rector, The Rev A. A. Taliaferro as an evening guild for working women. Over the years, the Guild has donated well over $190,000, just from the sale of our goodies! All of your donations are truly giving back to the community!
