I would like to express sincere gratitude to all who contributed to the ev. ic e K en V , n e th H a n n o n Saint Michael Relief Fund . Br this spring and summer as the war in Ukraine took a terrible toll on civilians and created millions of new refugees. Thanks to your generosity, and with the help of a team of lay leaders, we sent nearly $100,000 to local and international aid organizations, including Gateway of Grace in Dallas (refugee resettlement), World Central Kitchen, Care USA, Save the Children, and Episcopal Relief and Development. In addition, thanks to good work by our new Associate for Mission and Outreach, the Rev. Robin Hinkle, we identified another organization working on the ground in Ukraine to deliver food to people in desperate need. The organization is called RU4Children and the story of how we got connected to this group is worth telling. Robin was at the Farmers Market one Saturday morning and heard about RU4Children from one of our vendors. Through that conversation, Robin reached out to the Texas contact for the organization who is a former Marine and has spent much of his adult life assisting vulnerable people in combat zones. RU4Children started by supporting an orphanage in Ukraine and expanded to provide college education for the boys when they got older. When Russia attacked Ukraine, these orphans, now professional men, turned their efforts toward providing food for those in bombed out areas of the country. The donation from Saint Michael will help them purchase food, fuel, and a second heavy-duty van. They are very grateful for our support.

The Lord’s Prayer
The Eucharistic Prayer continues
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. The Breaking of the Bread Celebrant

Communion Songs “Go Down Moses” When Israel was in Egypt’s land, let my people go. Oppressed so hard they could not stand, let my people go. Refrain:
Go down, Moses, way down in Egypt’s land. Tell old Pharaoh to let my people go.
The Lord told Moses what to do: let my people go. To lead the children of Israel through: let my people go. Refrain.

They journeyed on at his command: let my people go. And came at length to Canaan’s land, let my people go. Refrain. Oh, let us all from bondage flee, let my people go. And let us all in Christ be free, let my people go. Refrain. African-American spiritual, Public Domain
“I am the Bread of Life” I am the bread of life. They who come to me shall not hunger. They who believe in me shall not thirst. No one can come to me unless the Father draw them. And I will raise them up, and I will raise them up, And I will raise them up on the last day. The bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world, And they who eat of this bread, they shall live forever, they shall live forever. And I will raise them up, and I will raise them up, And I will raise them up on the last day. Unless you eat of the flesh of the Son of Man And drink of his blood, you shall not have life within you, you shall not have life within you. And I will raise them up, and I will raise them up, And I will raise them up on the last day. I am the resurrection, I am the life. They who believe in me, even if they die, they shall live forever. And I will raise them up, and I will raise them up, And I will raise them up on the last day. Yes, Lord, we believe that you are the Christ, The Son of God who has come into the world. And I will raise them up, and I will raise them up, And I will raise them up on the last day. Words and Music: Suzanne Toolan. Copyright © 1971, GIA Publications, Inc., Chicago.
