We’d love to get to know you and help you get to know us. Saint Michael is a vibrant group of people choosing to live life as a community: pursuing Jesus, caring for one another, and serving those in need.

While you’re here with us today, we’d love for you to do two things:

1. Fill out a Welcome Card. They’re in the pew back in front of you, or use the QR code to use the quick, mobile-friendly “Get in Touch” form.

2. Stop by a Welcome Hub in the church lobby

You’ll see greeters wearing “Welcome” ribbons/ lanyards and they can answer questions about a worship service, formation class, or childcare. We look forward to seeing you soon!

At Saint Michael we are all about connecting, serving, and growing. To learn more about us, find ways to get involved, or see a map of the campus, scan the QR code.

We’re glad you’re here!

FROM

THE RECTOR

Welcome! I’m very glad you’ve joined us for worship today. If you’re new or new-ish, please take a moment to fill out the welcome card, either physically or digitally, that can be found on the opposite page of in the pew back in front of you. Our Welcome Team members are in the hallways today to help you with anything you need. I also hope you’ll visit our I Believe In Angels and Heart of Giving volunteers in the hallways today to support our neighbors across Dallas at Christmas.

As we prepare to worship together, I invite you to take a moment and center yourself on God’s presence. Worshiping, learning, and giving together help us grow closer to who God created us to be, and you’re part of that work. May God bless you today and every day, and I hope to see you again very soon!

“Amazing Grace”

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me!

I once was lost, but now am found, was blind, but now I see!

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to hear, and grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear the hour I first believed.

The Lord has promised good to me, His word my hope secures; He will my shield and portion be as long as life endures.

Through many dangers, toils, and snares I have already come. ‘Tis grace has brought me safe thus far, and grace will lead me home. When we’ve been there ten thousand years bright shining as the sun, We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise than when we’d first begun.

God made the sun, and God made the trees. God made the mountains, and God made me. Thank you, O Lord, for the sun and the trees. For making the mountains, for making me.

JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM: AN ADVENT STUDY

Sundays, November 27–December 18 10 a.m.

Saint Michael Chapel

A simple girl. And ordinary man. An unforgettable destination. It is one of western civilization’s best-known stories. For 2000 years, it has been told and retold, preached and sung about. We celebrate it every year with Christmas trees and lights, with gifts and cards, carols and hymns. And yet, it’s very familiarity may keep us from fully grasping its riches. This study will help us to explore the story of the birth of Jesus with fresh eyes and ears As we walk through the Holy Land and retrace the steps of those involved, we will draw upon insights gained from historians, archaeologists, biblical scholars, theologians as well as the very places the story occurred, In the process, we’ll rediscover the real meaning of Christmas. Join us for this Advent Study as we journey to Jerusalem together.
