Smaranda Lina Sam

Smaranda Lina affectionately known as “Sam” was born in the small town of Sibiu, Romania. She began her interest in art at the age of 11. Contrary to her families wishes, Smaranda always pursued her interests in art from an early age. Her rebellious ways often fueled her passion for art even further. Her first endeavors in art were glass painting. This later opened her appetite to plaster, stone sculptures and collages. As a teen she joined a German young adults organization JFDH that afforded her wall painting projects based on shadow poses. After high school, Smaranda had set her goals to become an interior designer. She was inspired by buildings and old houses. She wanted to remodel and recreate beautiful homes. But her calling was delayed and she attended and graduated from the University of Psychology “Titu Maiorescu” in Bucharest. She holds a Psychology degree.
