Every March Zara’s family goes on a picnic.

“I want to go to a shark farm,” said Zara’s brother Darpin.

“Let’s go to Jakarta,” said Zara.

“No need for a car, we’re not going far,” said Zara’s father.

“This year we are saving money and having a picnic in our garden.”

Zara helped lay a carpet on the grass. Zara’s father made an almond tart. Zara’s Aunt and Uncle bought a basket full of fruit, a large flask and six glasses.

Halfway through lunch, Zara gasped, “Can we do crafts?”

“Calm down,” said Zara’s father. “We can do crafts after we play a game of Marco Polo.”

“This has been the best backyard picnic ever!” said Zara’s aunt.

Then she asked if they could all take a photo by the large palm to help remember the day forever.
