Ned ran from the red jam room and down the green steps. Ned had a plan. He was going to King Earon's Park to seek Nan and Pop’s help. Ned was waiting at the bus stop for the next bus when a person tapped him on the back. “Can you stop that,” he exclaimed as he turned to see... Queen Joan! 2

“How will you free Sid?” said Queen Joan grinning. “Pardon?” said Ned. 4

“How will you free Sid from the red jam room?” said Queen Joan. “If you are locked in there with him?” 5

“Grab him and march him down to the red jam room,” Queen Joan said to Dom and Tig. Dom did not like Queen Joan being horrid to Ned or Sid. To make Ned feel better he exclaimed, “I will feed Ned’s parrot.” “Ned has a clever parrot that comes to him when he hears his horn,” Dom explained to Tig. 6

7

“I waited for you,” said Sid when Ned got left in the red jam room. 8
