hase 2 of the Expo Line is now complete with 19 stations connecting Downtown Santa Monica to Downtown Los Angeles. Weekday trains will depart stations every 12 – 20 minutes depending on the time of day. Travel time between consecutive stations will take between 1 - 6 minutes with total travel time between Downtown Santa Monica and Metro Center taking about 46 minutes. A new walk and bike path parallels most of the Expo Line extension to make it easier to reach stations by foot or bicycle. Bicyclists can bring their bikes on trains or use the bike racks and lockers at the new Expo stations. Many bus lines also provide service to Expo stations. Limited parking is available at some stations. To plan trips, customers should visit metro.net, www.bigbluebus.com/ Routes-and-Schedules/ and www.culvercity.org/how-do-i-/ find/culver-city-bus/bus-schedules

and is charged at the same rate for hourly users. There is an hour limit on hold time. To unlock again enter your 4-digit pin code. To end your trip, just return and lock the bike to a Breeze station, or a rack within 100 feet if the station you choose is full. You can lock to any other public bike rack for a small fee. Check the screen on the bike for return confirmation. Breeze isn’t designed to replace traditional bike rental companies. The bike share program is best for quick one-way trips around Santa Monica, connecting first-last mile to bus and train transit stops or frequent short trips, generally under 20 minutes (2-3 miles). Bike rentals are best for, families and groups with riders under 16 years of age, riders who want to take long recreational bike rides to explore the Westside or riders who want lighter, faster performance bikes such as mountain or road bikes. Several bicycle rental companies operate in Santa Monica including Santa Monica Bike Center, Perry’s Café and Rentals, Spoke and Stuff, Blazing Saddles and Sea Mist.
reeze, sponsored by Hulu, is Santa Monica’s bike share program. At the most basic level, rates are charged at $6 per hour, prorated by the minute. A variety of monthly or annual accounts are available at differing price points. The system has 500 bikes located at more than 75 stations. Bikes can be located via the smartphone app or at one of the stations. Bikes have individual locking mechanisms and can unlocked with use of a membership card or entering an account number/pin code on the bike itself. After entering the account number and pin, to release the bike pull out the yellow lock bar and place it in the holster Adjust the saddle height and check the brakes before riding. For quick stops during your ride use the “HOLD” button by the keypad and secure the bike to any bike rack. Hold time counts against the daily limits for monthly users
