TRIANGULARITY WAY TO REPFACTION


Kaišiadorys is a city in central Lithuania. It is situated between Vilnius and Kaunas. Kaišiadorys is one of six Lithuanian diocese centres. It is home to the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Christ built in 1932. The city expanded when a railroad connecting Vilnius with Liepāja was built in 1871. During the First World War, the city was occupied by the Germans in 1915, and it became the capital of an administrative unit for the first time.


THE TASK: is to create a project of conversion of old cinema to multifunctional building. The complex should consist of such functional zones as: • Museum space • Business incubator • Coworking spaces • Conference halls • Communities offices PRINCIPLES WE USE: • Sustainability • Flexibility • Universal design • Rational and reasonable decisions • Connection with environment




Territory divided in 5 main zones: MULTIFUNCTIONAL BUILDING Inner space suggests areas for lectures, presentations, seminars, co -working spaces, small separate working rooms as well as a rest zone. PUBLIC SPACE Space in front of building organized for short meeting, chatting and relaxing. CAFE Small cafe inside the building with the possibility of summer extension. PUBLIC SCREEN Unique space for screening movies or organize informal presentations open-air. PARKING ZONE Organized parking zone with modern geometrical pattern on the ground.

CONSEPTION TRIANGULARITY is a project of reconstruction of old cinema in KaiĹĄiadorys. The main goal of the project was a conversion of the cinema to the multifunctional building which should contain business incubator, conference halls, single working places and co-working spaces. Wherein the planning system should be flexible. Also smart technologies should be used in designed building. Thinking about conceptions of the project our team came to idea of triangular module. This shape is not only let to organize stable simple construction but has huge philosophical meaning. In all times and different fields triangle had a big power. So one of the meaning of triangle shape is climbing to the top of the mountain which is very similar to business field. Also this shape means harmony and wisdom. TERRITORY ORGANIZATION Conception of our project based on sustainable development principles and using of smart technologies. UNIQUE SHED CONSTRUCTION Despite the esthetical value and high level of attractiveness the main goal for suggested shed construction is to perform complex of techni-

cal tasks. The construction organized in such way to get the best and the most productive results. In this way, as solar panels were used on the roof of the building all triangular panels of the construction were rotated to 45-50 degrees to the ground. Only this position of solar panels gives the most profitable result. Also, roof panels which are in front of solar panels has mirror surfaces in order to get as much sun energy as possible. Regarding such shape of the shed construction (roof ) it is also possible to collect rainwater in special pallet under the construction and send it to underground water storage tank by pipes. After collecting in the tank rainwater will be used for technical needs of the building. This construction organizes one of the facades and cover necessary warming panels as well as protecting building from aggressive influence of environment. Besides all that was said before this structure organizes the lightening system in the parking place by lightening facade. Which use solar panels energy. INTERIOR ORGANIZATION In this project flexible planning system is used. Mostly, building divided in zones with open spaces. UNDERGROUN FLOOR All floor was used for technical purposes. 1st FLOOR Right near the main entrance there is wardrobe and WC. Next to it separate zone for cafĂŠ has been organized. All other space is an atrium. Here are two conference halls and co-working space. In this zone short meeting and noisy working processes are assumed to be. 2nd FLOOR On this floor there are three main zones such as: separate zone with individual stairs and WC for administration, singular working places and small working rooms. As this zone assumed for all day long working process it is a quite zone and here is big rest zone.
