Ipe Posts & Rails If your project requires additional sizes of Ipe: 2x2s, 2x4s, 4x4s, handrails and more, Mead Clark can order to your specifications, just give us a call for pricing. Use an exterior hardwood penetrating oil to maintain the color and appearance of Ipe. After the initial seal you can maintain the color by sealing twice a year or as needed or, if left to weather naturally, the color ages gracefully to a soft grey patina. You can always pressure wash the deck to bring back the color and reapply the seal to maintain color.
