Lexington Craft Beer Week 2014

Page 1

LEXINGTONCRAFTBEERWEEK2.0 Year two! We weren’t sure how the first Lexington Craft Beer Week would go, but it went so well that we’re doing it again. Craft beer in Lexington keeps getting bigger and bigger. We now have four local breweries and several more in the planning stages. If you’ve been itching to check out that new beer spot, but just haven’t made it out yet, this is the week to do it. This is also year two of our website, LexBeerScene.com. It is now the most comprehensive calendar for all beer events and food truck events in Lexington. If you like to keep up on news in the beer community and you like to know where the food trucks are, LexBeerScene.com is the place to find out. We have plenty of great events for you to enjoy this year – beer dinners, special beer releases, cooking classes, tap takeovers, a homebrewers brew-off, a homebrewing class, a beer cheese contest, a beer festival, brunches, … and so much more. Last year, we had a special Lexington Craft Beer Week collaboration beer called Country Western. It was a

collaboration between Country Boy and West Sixth. This year, we have Country Western, Volume 2 – a bourbon barrel aged brown ale. Look for it on tap throughout the week and in cans! I’d like to thank our headline sponsors: tadoo.com, West Sixth Brewing, Country Boy Brewing, KY Ale, and Blue Stallion. They have provided the support that is necessary to make this week a success. I would also like to thank all of the local establishments that are taking part. We have some new locations this year, so show them some love. Be sure to keep checking LexBeerScene.com for last minute changes and contact information for the events. As always, make a plan for a safe trip home and designate a driver! Cheers!
