Let me introduce you to the Austin Chamber of Commerce‌. On April 13, 1877, the Austin Board of Trade (now Austin Chamber of Commerce) was founded as a non-profit voluntary organization. Comprised of local business and professional men and women, this new board believed that united action could improve the economic health of Austin. They dedicated themselves to seeking opportunities that would develop the city and make it more attractive for business. We think our Founders would be proud!
