Fans of all ages and running levels participated in the LA Galaxy 5K and Cozmo Family Fun Run on Sat. Sept. 21st. Runners were joined by Galaxy legend Cobi Jones, Galaxy President Chris Klein, former Galaxy captain and current LA Galaxy Academy Director Peter Vagenas and former Galaxy and U.S. National Team star Clint Mathis as well as a number of other past stars and club representatives as they dash their way around the through the complex. Additionally, the club rewarded racers that finish ahead of Chris Klein with a souvenir that has been signed by a current Galaxy player.

California Association of African-American Superintendents and Administrators (CAAASA) Annual Roundup BBQ Educators from throughout California came together for the annual California Association of African-American Superintendents and Administrators (CAAASA) Annual Roundup BBQ. They came together to meet and greet as well as discuss significant issues facing African-American students throughout the state. Topics such as Conquering the Digital Divide, Standard English Learners, Parent Engagement as well as the Affordable Care Act were discussed during individual break-out sessions. Special recognition was given to education leaders from throughout the state, and the group was enlightened by special remarks from the actor, director and producer Robert Townsend.
