Maliyah entered the Miss Compton pageant on a plat form to introduce the children of Compton to classical music which is one of her first loves. Maliyah now has a real crown as she was crowned Miss Compton 2017 on August 5, 2017 and is looking forward to a year of growth and personal appearances to help challenge the negative image of Compton.
