Welcome to the Property Collection

A united market

The referendum on Scottish independence had undoubtedly created uncertainty in the future of the UK both north and south of the border. This has had the effect of slowing the recovery of the property market by putting on hold many important decisions. Nevertheless the debate has been empowering and the decision to stick together will create changes which have been needed for some time injecting a new energy into the market place across the whole country. Businesses and individuals who were eagerly awaiting the outcome of the vote can now proceed with greater economic certainty. It will be very interesting, however, to see what steps are now taken to redress the

imbalance between London and the rest of the United Kingdom with many areas looking forward to sharing in a return to the economic well-being enjoyed by the capital for a number of years already. There is a renewed enthusiasm to get on with the business of living which has reignited interest in property. Viewing numbers are expected to rise and offers to become more competitive with the only real worry being the consistency of supply. Stocks are generally low and more houses will be needed to satisfy demand. Confidence is returning and we look forward to working with clients old and new across the whole of the United Kingdom.
