Abstract Through this portfolio the author tries show the conceputualization, ideation and exceution stratergies that are explored and implemented during this academia and professional training. Each project shows singular trait concerning the possibilities taken to variably think about the implications that can manifest the construction of the project and its details, which in turn brings a wholesomeness experienced within the process, and the product for the user. The portfolio displays a given set of projects that have been carefully choosen by the author to represent his design and idealogies, off which have been worked by him. It tries to show the diverse programmes, sites, actors, and primary data that in turn guide and dictate the scales that have been worked upon. There is a constant learning process that has been rigorously followed which has allowed for constructive criticism for self-development through the years. The designs tries to show the different materials, and jucntons that have been worked upon, thus allowing for an experimental approach for the user groups, which in turn allows us to question the idea, extent and scope of architecture.

The project is an ongoing investigation of urban decay and modern ruins through a series of different approaches varying from photographic documentation and urban exploration to theoretical texts. The project focuses on the modern ruins of declined buildings and abandoned cites carrying the imminent potential to rehabilitated, turned into something other than mere reminders. The project is conceived as both a device for learning and a place to celebrate and elevate culture, intellect and free exchange of ideas, an inspirational cauldron of information, architecture and people where knowledge and culture is obtained, shared and preserved. The elements of the structure are designed to connect the people in an intense way, to accentuate the ruins with soil with all the exuberant nature that surrounds it. The construction is self sufficient, prefabricated and clean. Steel mesh acts to soften the sunlight and provide the architectural expressivity. A simple Refuge.

The project intends to work with contextual problems of the site, which has various problems regarding water, drainage, waste management and sanitation. The raising floods every year disrupts the whole settlement every year. Simplicity and doablity taken as the core concern, the structure incorporates being playful as lego blocks achieving its form form its simple joineries. Using the local materials and the traditional techniques for the construction, optimization of materials directs the structure on being self-sufficient reliably flourishing from the problems on the site.

Design with Details An Instituion which insprires other build forms
Site Area- 2780sqm | Buildup Area- 2300sqm | Location-Prabhadevi, Mumbai | Respondants- Ravindra Punde | Typology- Institution, Highrise Material Exploration- Glulam, CLT, Steel The project is looked into crafting the built form in conversation with the design’s intent of detail. It closely looked into surface articulations and crafting of junctions of materiality. It engaged with surface detailing between outside and the inside, the sky and the built, ground and the built. As seen, both the processes have interdependent and inter-validating relationships. Each detail thus narrated the story of its making, placing, proportioning and positioning at various stages. Detail thus articulated the language and ethos of the project. The studio began with choosing a dominant material for the project, a material to dictate and guide the form of the built form. The five dominant material were biomaterials (bamboo, timber), steel, brick, stone and R.C.C out of which Timber is used here.
