Dear Readers, As we approach the final days of school, I am saddened to say that my time as your Editor-In-Chief is coming to a close. I am overjoyed to have had this opportunity to edit the Messenger for all of you to enjoy. There have been stories of triumph, failure, comedic relief, and pretty much anything else under the sun being exhibited by our monthly editions of the Messenger. I hope that our paper has meant something to each of you and that its purpose will continue to resonate within each of you for years to come. As each of you move on in your lives, and our seniors leave to begin the next phase of their lives, I dream that each of you can remember your high school experience and all the great memories that accompany it by looking back at the Messenger. Please enjoy our final and Senior Edition of the Messenger. As we say farewell to our seniors, I hope that you appreciate learning about the leaders of our school. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity and helping to make the Messenger what it is. Happy Reading! Riley McLean Editor-in-Chief

Our Mission We value our readers, plain and simple. We love to see the smiles on people’s faces when their names make headlines. We love to hear people laughing at our bad jokes that always seem to make their way into everything we write. We work our hardest to make the SM Messenger something St. Mary’s can be proud of.

As Riley aspires to be a cardiac surgeon or a biomedical researcher she intends to spend many hours in the laboratory during her undergraduate years. Throughout high school she has been involved in numerous extra-curricular activities. Several of the most prominent organizations include the Messenger, FBLA, and Science Fair. She has held leadership positions within many of these and has enjoyed having the ability to impact others in such a positive way. As she steps into the next chapter of her life, she is excited to see what the future holds and to develop herself further in the sciences.
