Meda 2 is designed to perfection: the silhouette of the plastic frame gives the chair its distinctive appearance and mechanical features are integrated into the overall design. The chair’s lightness and transparency are emphasised by the netweave of the backrest. Meda 2 represents a successful synthesis of function and form.
Alberto Meda, engineer and designer, was born in 1945. He lives and works in Milan. Meda’s collaboration with Vitra, which began in 1994, has resulted in a series of office and conference chairs. The expansion of the Meda Collection is an ongoing process, resulting in new products which complement previous designs. Vitra has been committed to the topic of seating and the workplace for over 40 years. All Vitra products benefit from this extensive experience.

With or without armrests, adjustable in height and angle, polyurethane foam pad. Backrest can be locked in any position. Optional lumbar cushion is height adjustable to fit the spinal contour of the sitter. Seat depth adjustable. Backrest: netweave stretched over the frame. Seat: moulded polyurethane foam, fluorocarbon-free, textile cover Torso (Meda). Plastic frame available in the colour basic dark. Base in two versions: pressure-cast aluminium with polished finish or solid plastic with ascending feet in basic dark. Double castors in basic dark, choice of hard or soft castors for different floor types. Meda 2 bears the ergonomic seal of approval from the LGA Nuremberg Meda 2 with cover in Torso Meda also available with the patented Clima Seat.
