Embark on board the Costa Fascinosa. This ship offers a tribute to theatre and cinema classics, each deck is inspired by characters, stories, and memorable works, such as Aida, Tosca and Dr Zhivago. This is where you can enjoy all kinds of entertainment, from evening shows to relaxation at the spa or by the pool. Wednesday 25 September

Port - La Goulette (Tunis)

Optional shore excursion to Carthage and Sidi Bou Said You will leave the port of La Goulette for the journey to Carthage accompanied by a local guide. Founded as a Phoenician trading port, Carthage rapidly grew to become one of the richest cities of the ancient world, until it was defeated and destroyed by the Romans in 146 BC. Your first stop will be the Tophet, the sanctuary dedicated to the Punic deities Tanit and Baal Hammon. Then you will travel by coach to Byrsa Hill, where you will be able to visit the Cathedral of Saint Louis (outside visit only) and admire the magnificent view over Carthage and the Gulf of Tunis. Your final stop will be the characteristic village of Sidi Bou Said, world famous for its typical blue and white houses where you will have some free time to stroll around, take a few unforgettable photographs or do a bit of shopping before returning to the ship. Please note: Guests wishing to take pictures in the archaeological site of Carthage will be charged a fee of 1,00 TND. An approximately 10-minute uphill walk is required to reach the village of Sidi

Palermo, Sicily

Enjoy a free day in this historic capital city. Once you disembark the ship, you are very close to the main centre where you can stroll around admiring many neoclassical buildings while enjoying an aperitivo in one of the many bars.

Friday 27 September

Port - Naples, Italy

Optional shore excursion - Easy Tour of Naples

The first stop of the tour is the village of Posillipo where we can enjoy a splendid view of the Gulf of Naples from a rooftop terrace. Then we proceed to the monumental area, where we can admire the major attractions of Naples, such as the impressiveMaschio Angioino, the castle built 700 years ago by Charles of Anjou and later a sumptuous residence of kings and viceroys, the San Carlo Theatre, one of the most beautiful in Europe, and Galleria Umberto I shopping gallery, built between 1887 and 1890 to redevelop the city. Cross Piazza del Plebiscito, one of the most beautiful and famous squares in Naples. With its 25,000 square metres it is among the largest squares in Italy and so is often chosen to host major events. Arriving in Piazza Matteotti, take a stroll up to Piazza del Gesù, from where you can head to the world-famous Via Spaccanapoli, the throbbing heart of authentic working-class Naples, the lower decumanus that today divides the heart of Naples. You come upon a succession of shops, bakeries and churches. Finally walk down Via San Gregorio Armeno, a street famous worldwide for its crib craft stores

Saturday 28 September

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Optional shore excursion - Panoramic Tour of Rome

Your tour starts with a panoramic drive of Rome passing through the main sites including the Piramide of Rome, Caracalla Baths, Circus maximums, Colosseum, Colle Oppio and Santa Maria Maggiore, Via Veneto, Lungotevere and Castel Sant’Angelo. At the end of the panoramic tour, you will be dropped off at Palazzaccio/ Zanardelli, a convenient place where you can enjoy some free time to visit Saint Peter’s Square and get the opportunity to take beautiful photografs of Saint Peter’s Basilica or just walk and visit some of the most famous piazzas of Rome, like Piazza di Spagna or Piazza Navona. Finally meet your escort at the meeting point for your ride back to the port of Civitavecchia.

Sunday 29 September

The ship shall arrival in Genoa Port around 09:00hrs. Upon disembarkation, your transfer shall be ready for you to take you to your hotel in Pisa, followed by room check in. Later afternoon you can enjoy a nice walk around the area, visiting Piazza dei Miracoli first and then

proceed to visit the main attraction which is the leaning tower of Pisa. A nice dinner is a must in one of the many restaurants offered by this culinary paradise.

Monday 30 September

After breakfast, join your tour leader for an optional return transfer to Florence This city amazes, seduces and stays in your heart. You are free to stroll around this Tuscan capital which is an open-air museum full of architectural masterpieces and unique works of art. Every corner of Florence is full of things to see. Get ready for a walk with plenty of stops to appreciate the masterpieces that have amazed millions of visitors for centuries. Back to your hotel for a good rest.

Tuesday 01 October

Breakfast at your own leisure followed by room check out. You can keep your personal luggage in the luggage room provide by the hotel and enjoy some personal sightseeing around the area. Early afternoon your coach shall pick you up to transfer you to Pisa airport to check in for your Ryanair flight FR9992 departing at 17:55hrs and arriving back to Malta at 19:35hrs.
